When the Covid-19 Pandemic started and the governor ordered Stay-at-home in Las Vegas area, people reached out to the animal shelters and adopted/fostered animals. I saw empty cages and was happy to see some positive effects from chaos. Now due to high unemployment rate, unfortunately, we have started to find more abandoned pets in vacated properties. It’s important to know whom to call for help. The following resources can provide assistance. Also if you are in the stable household, please consider fostering an animal for a shelter or rescue group until a permanent home is located.
For those who need assistance keeping their pet with them or who may need to surrender due to inability to keep their pet:
The Animal Foundation (shelter): 702-384-3333, https://animalfoundation.com/
